When it comes to business, you want to always have the best players on your team in order to get the best results. Unfortunately, many businesses don’t really see the advantages of recruiting. The logic makes sense; sports teams don’t fight over the best players every year for nothing, after all. Apple and Google both greatly value recruiting, and everyone knows they are two of the biggest names in the corporate world right now. The lowest ranking HR function was managing an aging workforce, which is again pretty much the opposite of recruiting new and fresh employees who have already proven their worth at another company.
Making your HR Department Work for You
When a company is effectively using their HR department by putting a focus on recruiting, they are improving performance at least 10 times more than businesses who don’t have a strong recruiting platform, numbers which were discovered by the Boston Consulting Group in their research. Of course, recruiting should not be the only purpose of an HR department. Payroll systems, managing diversity and other aspects of HR should not be ignored, or else the business will start to fail in other areas.
Start Paying More Attention to Recruitment Today
After looking at the numbers, it’s easy to see how important recruiting is to a business, especially when it comes to the HR department. Getting the best employees right off the bat will drive up your numbers and save you from years of investment when you could just get the final product by putting some work into hunting these prospective employees down and convincing them to come work for you in the first place.
